I am making a conscious effort to appreciate spring in all of its glory.
This season pushes me to savor the moment. Spring is unpredictable in the South, and sometimes it can sneak right by.
The newness of Spring delivers the opportunity for reflection on the past year.
I find comfort in knowing that even after the most brutal winter, the refuge of Spring is just around the corner.
(Growing up in Upstate New York, this promise kept me going many years.)
Spring stirs a sense of opportunity within me. If the broken and bare branches of winter can bloom into the most vibrant green, I too can repair any damage within my own life.
This season washes an overwhelming sense of calm over me. Long aimless walks, lots of time outdoors to appreciate (and photograph) nature, an opportunity for reflection and growth.
I'd love to hear what you appreciate about Spring. Also, what is your favorite season and why?
Beautiful photos, Brhea! :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I can't believe I'm talking about cold weather BUT my favorite is at the end of summer/beginning of fall when it's jeans and hoodie weather. It only lasts for a couple of weeks but it's my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing photos!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so vibrant and gorgeous.
Spring is like the start of a new year for me... to see the dead trees come to life and the flowers bloom.
But my favorite season Fall, because summer is going away and the wonderful crisp air and burnt colors adorn the scenery...
I love spring.. even if it is short lived in most places. Those few weeks of amazing temperatures and blooming trees are rejuvenating.
ReplyDeleteThis pictures are beautiful!! And it's a toss up for me between fall and spring, but if i had to choose it would be spring :)
ReplyDeleteWhere we live we are surrounded by orange groves and the smell of their blossoms is amazing!!
These pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE the colors in the spring. And I love spring rain showers. I can't decide what my favorite season is though...I love the colors of spring and fall the best. But I love the weather (where we live) of summer. And I think winter clothes are lots of fun! They are ALL wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Right now, I am appreciating the glimpses of Spring we are getting here in the NW. Beautiful days of sun and crisp air mixed in the middle of rainy and even snowy weeks.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about spring is how fresh and new everything is. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new blog design! I'm sorry I have been such a terrible blog friend lately! Miss you! :)
Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI must confess that I am a serious sucker for winter (I just have this thing for boots.... scarfs.... coats... lots of hot chocolate :). But, friend, I totally get Spring. Its refreshing, exciting, and just the most perfect weather!
ReplyDeleteStunning photography! I love all the little flowers in bloom! I currently have some freshly picked hyacinths from the garden sitting on my desk :) Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThese are some really beautiful flowers! Great captures, you take really great photos!
ReplyDeleteWe keep jumping between winter and summer. I'm still waiting for spring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and thoughts!
ReplyDeleteSpring/Summer is my favorite time of year. It seems that it is when we get to spend the most quality time together as a family :)
