A Photography Filled Weekend

I was lucky enough to have three photo shoots over Memorial Day Weekend! The families that I worked with were a ton of fun - and might I add, extraordinarily photogenic.

I'm still editing these sessions, but thought that I would share a sneak peek of some of my favorites here on the blog.

Belongia Family (Keegan, Tessa & Elias)

Hall Family (Joe, Sara, Nolan & Sophia)

Saine Family (Chris, Michaelle & Chase)

A great weekend grilling recipe is up on my food photography blog. Check it out!

B. Mae Photo

Well, the big day has arrived! A lot of hard work and support from friends and family have led me to start my own photography business. Above all else, the launch of B. Mae Photo represents a giant leap toward pursuing my passion of photography.

I still have a lot to learn but I'm no longer letting fear or doubt paralyze me from taking the next step. The quote below has been such an inspiration in moving me towards my goal.

If you've been holding yourself back from something that you think will make you happy, make today the day that you take that first step.

I draw so much courage and inspiration from my three nieces -- Madelynn, Adelaide and Eleanor. That's why I chose to include them in my business name. They put the M-A-E in Mae.

I hope that you'll check out my site and connect with B. Mae Photo on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Thank you for all of the continued support!

Eleanor Pearl (round 2 of 958)

Slight exaggeration with the post title. Sort of.

I can't resist taking photos of my brand new niece, Ellie.  My husband and I had her overnight on Monday and while Jake was at work Ellie and I had another mini photo shoot.

True story, when I was a small child my mom used to have to hold me back in public from grabbing stranger's babies. As I grew up, I learned to restrain myself - but I never outgrew my love for babies.

Hopefully you appreciate cute kids. Otherwise, you might find me/my blog rather annoying. I guess that's a risk I'm willing to take. You can't please everyone, can you?

Eleanor Pearl Newborn Photos

This weekend I photographed my sweet 8 day old niece, Ellie. She is such a good baby and slept through most of her shoot. She did pee on my mom at one point, but hey, when you're this cute you do what you want.

The Hart Sisters

I had the pleasure of photographing these two sweet sisters. They came up with the idea to have their photos taken for a surprise Christmas gift for their parents (I told you, sweet!). This shoot was a ton of fun, possibly due in part to the mimosas that they brought along :)

Otto Family Maternity

While visiting family in Wisconsin for Christmas, I had the pleasure of photographing our cousins, Ryan and Erika and their two girls, Molly and Lauren, as they prepare to welcome a baby boy. I had my fingers crossed for snow and we lucked out with a big snowfall the day before our shoot.

I took their photos on Ryan's parent's (Aunt Patti & Uncle Tom) farm. I seriously love their land and it had me pining after a farm of my own.

Ryan and Erika quite possibly may be the most photogenic couple in America and their children both look like baby Gap models, so they made my job pretty easy. Below are some of my favorites from our wintry Wisconsin day.
