Decisions, Decisions

Recently, I have been contemplating a rather big life decision. Countless pro and con lists have been scrawled on the pages of my journal. Sometimes though, the right choice is not clearly written in black-and-white.

It would take a leap of faith on my part coupled with a lot of hard work and sacrifice. Something that I know all too well: the things that are really worthwhile don't always come easy.

I hope to share more with you about this in the future... But right now, it feels good to think out loud.

Do you have any decision making suggestions for me? I'd love to hear what works for you.

  1. I've been in the midst of making a huge decision too and what got me through and helped me was a lot of praying, a lot of TIME (even though patience is not my strong point), and talking with the right people so I know how every single avenue would affect my life. I know it's hard. It's taken me months to make my choice. Good luck!

  4. Pros and cons lists never do it for me, they just seem to distract me from the truth. Taking your time, put aside the lists and simply admit that deep down you knew all along in your heart.

  6. I totally am going through the same thing! I also made a pros and cons list... and like you said there is no clear "right" answer. It's hard to advise you without know exactly what your thinking about... but with me I just think if I were "starting from scratch" what what I do? In other words for me change is a huge scary thing in and of itself. & When I think about it that way, it makes my answer pretty obvious - yet still very overwhelming :P Hope that helps {obviously we're both trying to be vague haha}

  7. I agree that pros and cons lists can be helpful when you see both sides laid out. I'd also trust my gut and talk to my husband, mom and sister (my dream team). A little prayer thrown in and then see what happens. Best of luck!

  8. I agree with the girl above... Husbands aren't always the best listeners on a day-to-day basis (in one ear, out the other...or maybe that's just mine, lol), but whenever I need to make a big decision, he's my go-to. I'm sure Jake knows you inside and out- better than you know yourself...trust his judgement on the situation and go with your gut! And when that fails-- pour yourself a beer. :)
